I bought two books over the past two weeks that i absolutely love: Lauren Conrad's style book, which i got signed at her book signing =], and the new ELLEments of Personal Style book, which is my new favorite book.
erin wasson
my like ultimate style icon, charlotte gainsbourg! I almost died when i turned that page over and saw her face.
milla jovovich
This book is full of even more style icons. I would say it is an essential to any woman's book collection.
l'alchimiste
a philosophy and ancient practice attempting to change metal into gold, investigating the preparation of the "elixir of longevity", and achieving ultimate wisdom.

trendspotting
@ Paris Fashion Week
Flats! They're back! A lot of designers are starting to show models in flats. I consider flats to be necessary for a casual, yet still classy, fashionable look. When I was younger (still in my comfortable stages), I only wore flats. I hated heels. My cousin Jen used to yell at me all the time, because I'm short. I'm only 5'3", and she was as tall, so heels are necessary. And heels ARE necessary. But nothing says you cant be comfortable and fashionable at the same time.
I'm not really into the flip-flops that everyone is wearing to classes. But i would wear the flats seen at these designers shows.
Giambattista Valli
Stella McCartney
which boasted some other trends I saw as well.

blogs and such that i love...
i am very upset that taylor jacobson will not be on this season of the rachel zoe project, however i like her by herself more than on the show because of her blog. i wish she would just get her own show!
my other new favorite obsession is NAAG, which is a collaboration of agyness deyn and fiona byrne. their newest music post highlights my new favorite album, "crazy for you" by best coast, which, unfortunatly for me since im a touch selfish with music, is getting rave reviews by everyone. rightly so because of its california oldies-ish 60's feel.
another site that i adore is polyvore.com. i could look at it for hours and hours for inspiration.
here are a few things from the site.
i also love weheartit.com and lookbook.nu for fashion inspiration, etc.
Labels:
agyness deyn,
best coast,
everyday minerals,
naag,
taylor jacobson

having a moment
i am in the midst of watching all of the episodes of rich girls. when i was 13, my goal in life was to be ally hilfiger. i still really love her. she is definitely a fashionista. so i am reminiscing about the days before laguna beach and the hills overtook mtv and watching the season =]
here's the rich girls theme, in case anyone has no idea what i am talking about.
there is also a clip with mischa barton at prom with the girls. there's no way its not her. heres the clip; it is towards the end when jamie is freaking out about someone using their limo. tell me about it.
here's an excerpt from an interview with Mischa Barton in 2004 in Cosmo:
C: You went to Manhattan’s prestigious Professional Children’s School. Did you have any famous classmates?
M: I started right after people like Scarlett Johansson and Christina Ricci finished. The Rich Girls [Ally Hilfiger and Jaime Gleicher] were there with me. It’s funny that they ended up with their own show. They’re pretty much how they are on the show but not quite as bad.
